The link between the diaphragm clutch fingers (2) and the clutch housing is by a series of C clips (14) which grip around the edges of the mounting flange of the housing and which fit through securing holes in the fingers. An accurate tolerance is not required, with the C-clips having a flat extension to lie against the outside of the fitting hole in the finger. The clips are light and do not impede the action of the clutch.
