Title compd. [I; R = H, (C1-C3) alkyl, (C1-C3) alkoxy or halogen was prepd. by hydrolyzation of 6-carbamoyl compound [IV of formula III. 2-Amino- 6-hydroxy benzothiazol reacted with phenyl isocyanate of formula II to give IV, and IV hydrolyzed with alkali metal hydroxides or carbonates, ammonium hydroxides in an inert solvent at a temp. not higher than 100≦̸C to give I, which is used as an immune regulant.
