<p>The fittings may be utilised on doors or windows and may constitute the operating rods and masking sections for casement bolts. The fittings are for mounting in 'T' section grooves in the rebated edges of doors doors or windows and provide for length adjustment to suit frame widths. Adjustment is provided by toothed connectors incorporated on the conjunctive ends of two fittings. A typical detail has an inverted 'U' section connector (130) housing the conjunctive ends of two rectangular section pieces (116, 112) of masking. The inside walls of the connector (130) and the terminal edges of the masking sections (112, 116) have reciprocal triangular teeth (138). The sections are cut to the required length and the connection is made with a screw-fixed (144) retaining plate (169) securing the assembly.</p> |
