<p>The screening housing of the magnetic head is of deep-drawable, soft-magnetic material. Its bottom has at least a section for the magnetic cores and forms a running surface for the recording tape, together with the cores head side. The bottom part, forming the running surface, is coated with a layer (3) of material whose abrading resistance is almost equal to that of the cores head side. Preferably the layer is magnetically non-conductive, and may cover at least a part of the boundary surface (5) of a head recess (2). Alternately the layer may cover only the opposite sections (4) of the boundary surface, associated with the core head surface.</p> |
