<p>Cleansing- and absorbent compsn. contains >=50 wt.%, w.r.t. solids, of grain-structured water-repellant starch (I) and/or cation-active hydrophilic starch, (II), opt. as a suspension or paste with a liq. carrier. Compsns. contg. (I) are used esp. for absorbing oils, fats or waxes. (I), opt. together with (II), or a starch mol. contg. hydrophobic and cation-active hydrophilic substits., are used for the cleaning and care of natural- and/or chemical fibre textile articles, esp. carpets and upholstery, as well as in dry-cleaning and dry hair-shampoos. The starches, in dry or wet compsns., have high cleansing power and affinity to C black, Fe oxide, kaolin, SiO2, as well as to fats and oils. Carpet-shape is retained. The starches are easily removed, e.g. by vacuum-cleaning, without removing antistatic or bacteridical finishes.</p> |
