PURPOSE:To reduce operating time and the number of workers necessary for constructing a converter, and to lighten the worker's labor, by banding plural fire bricks arranged to form a fan-shaped block with metallic hoops, then by constructing converter wall spirally with one-row layer or plural-row layer of the banded bricks. CONSTITUTION:Plural fire bricks 1 which are used in construction of side wear refractory wall are arranged horizontally and vertically to form fan-shaped block and banded with metallic hools 2. The block of the banded bricks 3 is made correspondingly in layer thickness with that of the sites to be constructed. The banded bricks 3 are arranged in one-row layer or plural-row layer to construct side wear refractory wall. This method allows to construct refractory wall of various layer thickness as well coninuously and in a short period of time. |
