PURPOSE:To raise the turbine efficiency, by providing a seal on the inside surface of a casing at the outlet side of an impeller to prevent a working fluid from leaking through the gap between the casing and the impeller. CONSTITUTION:The periphery 13 of the impeller near its outlet port is shaped as a cylindrical surface concentric with a shaft 7. Such a type of a seal guide 14 that it is not damaged even if the impeller 1 comes into contact therewith is provided on the inside surface of the casing 3 surrounding the periphery 13 of the impeller. Even if the impeller 1 moves back and forth together with the shaft 7, the size of the gap does not vary. Therefore, the flow at the outlet port 12 of the impeller is greatly improved. |
