Oxygen torch lance for the thermal production of orifices in hard-jointed materials, with a jacket tube (1) consisting of meltable material and with a core of meltable wires which is arranged in the latter. To fix the core wires in the jacket tube, the latter possesses, in the vicinity of the rear end provided for the oxygen connection, at least two flattened portions (10, 11) which narrow the tube on both sides and are arranged in succession and the flattening planes (I, II) of which intersect. The crosswise flattened portions advantageously retain the individual wires, spread out there, against displacement in the longitudinal direction, without the flow cross-section being impaired. <IMAGE>
