The thread-guide device consists of a mounting (13) having two bores (16, 17) perpendicular to one another, a mounting rod (12) being fastened in one bore, and in the other bore (17) a bolt (19) being arranged displaceably and so as to be rotatable about an axis and lockable in different positions. A fork-shaped carrier (14) is fastened to the bolt (19), a screw (24) being retained in perforations (23) of the fork parts (22, 22') by means of nuts (25, 25') tensioned relative to one another, and there being seated on the screw a part (27) which is provided with a threaded bore (26) and is displaceable in the direction of the screw axis and which contains a thread-guide member (15). The thread-guide device is simple and handy and allows the highly accurate setting of the path of a yarn running out from a spherical or ellipsoidal friction body of a false-twist apparatus. <IMAGE>
