Located in a compartment (1) of the lid (2) is a drawer-shaped bar (3) which is intended to reach into a cutout in a wall of the container. The bar is subjected in this case to the force of pressure of shock-absorbing springs (5). A button (8) is displaceably but non-rotatably mounted in the lid with its axis perpendicular to the direction of motion of the bar, which button is subjected to the effect of a pressure spring (80) and on its underside has two cams (7) which have obliquely running sliding faces (70) which, when the button is pressed down, shift the stops (6) which slide on the oblique surfaces (70) and hence also shift the bar into the compartment. The catch is preferably used in vacuum cleaners, in particular in the lids of the containers which are used to store the accessories and to accommodate the dust bags and which can be opened by pressing the button. <IMAGE> |
