PURPOSE:To enable attachment of steering shaft always stably without pinch by absorbing a production error in a steering shaft mounting structure. CONSTITUTION:A steering main shaft 1 is supported at the top thereof via bearings through first bearing structure 3 assembled internally by an upper bracket 2, which is attached via a leg 5 to an automotive body 6. The shaft 1 is inserted at the bottom thereof through a colum hole 9 formed at a dash-panel 8 and supported via bearing 11 supported at a cover 10. The bearing 11 consists of a bearing member 14 coupled by welding at 16 to th bottom of the shaft 1, a spherical bearing 17 engaged with a bearing portion 18, a ring element 25 externally engaged with the outer race 24 of the bearing 17, and a ring element 28 spherically supported at the element 25 to obliquely supporting the shaft 1. |
