The mat is for use by gymnasts or acrobats and gives greater rebound. The mat is made up of narrow flexible laths(1) arranged parallel to each other and joined together by two or more laths(2) perpendicular to them. The laths are covered by resilient material. The mat is mounted on two supports made of a slightly compressible material and of a sufficient thickness to avoid the mat touching the ground in use. The elasticity of the mat can be adjusted by varying the separation of the supports.
