<p>Emulsifier is added to a fluid, e.g. water, to produce foam for fire fighting by arranging at the intake to a pump a nozzle for the release of the emulsifier. Conicity and dia. of the nozzle are matched to the pump capacity and the pipe inside the nozzle which supplies the emulsifier is axially movable by a valve at the outlet of the pump. System is suitable for a control of the pump capacity over a range of 0 - 100% compared with 50 - 100% for conventional systems. The admixture of the emulsifier is held strictly to the set percentage.</p> |
