The industrialised building system utilises a substructural frame of modular precast reinforced concrete column, beam and floor slab components, joints being made by adding concrete at beam and column intersections. Similar secondary joints connect the floor slab modules to one another and to the beams, the latter being of a trough section of which the internal legs provide a bearing seat for the ends or the edges of the slabs. The beams are filled with in situ concrete during the jointing process, having internal leg ribs providing a key, accommodating principle reinforcement, and inc thin-walled web zones at modular intervals.
|
