The apparatus is used for spraying insulation and a binder and comprises a hopper containing the dry powder. This is conveyed along a tube(10) by the air flow from a fan and is discharged from the nozzle(12) of the spray gun(11). The binder is a liquid contained in a separate tank and is pumped along another tube(19) parallel to that conveying the powder. At the spray gun outlet, the binder is discharged through a ring of flat jets(20) for mixing externally with the powder. Nozzle and jet sizes are interrelated.
