PURPOSE:To facilitate removal of electrolyzates by supplying pulse current in a predetermined arrangement order to a working electrode consisting of platelike or rodlike electrode element insulated with each other and bound, to give a certain course to generation of gas. CONSTITUTION:An electrode is constituted, e.g. as an assembly of many platelike electrode elements E1-En, and each insulator is inserted between the elements to insulate them with each other. Electrolytic pulse current cab be supplied to the elements in the order of E1, E2...En. Considering elements E1-E4, E5-E8 and E9-E12 as independent electrodes, pulse current may be supplied simultaneously to these three electrodes in the order of E1, E2...E4, E1,...and E5, E6...E8, E5,... etc. At this time, generation of gas due to electrolysis can be given the course shown by the arrows. |
