PURPOSE:To obtain a compact dehydrating device by arranging a driving unit, an impeller and a dehydrating basket in horizontal and tandem configuration. CONSTITUTION:As a motor 5 is operated, an impeller 6 and a dehydrating basket 7 are turned. In this operating status, when a kitchen trash with water content in a sink 11 is put into a hopper 4 through a sink gate 11a and a pipe 2, it is sent to the dehydrating basket 7 by the impeller 6 which is arranged in the hopper section 4a. When the garbage is still in a small quantity, it is centrifugally dehydrated by the dehydrating basket 7, but when the kitchen trash became in a large quantity, pressure dehydrating process by the impeller 6 starts operating in addition to the centrifugal dehydrating process. Water from this dehydration is led to the drainage through a draining hole 4b and a draining pipe 10. When dehydration of the garbage is thus completed, the motor is stopped. And when a cover 8 is removed from a casing, thus dehydrated garbage can be easily taken out from the dehydrating basket 7. |
