The weight transducer for milking machine containers includes a cantilever arm (26) which is bent by applied weight and is connected by a rotatable coupling to a container support (29). The coupling may include a pivotal mounting (30) for a number of crossed flexures and may be received in a fork at the free end of the cantilever. The container support may be a ring. Relative rotation between the container support and the cantilever may be limited. The cantilever may be made of stainless steel and may carry a strain gauge. The coupling pref. includes a number of pivots to allow rotation in two planes.
