Sepg. plastics from refuse - using suitably designed rotating hooks to engage and remove plastics from refuse on moving conveyor

Pieces of plastic material are sepd. from domestic refuse and similar industrial waste, using a belt conveyor for the refuse and moving hooks on which the pieces are caught plus cutters to disintegrate the refuse. The hooks are positioned over the conveyor and are moved independently (esp. rotated), they engage by dipping into the material and pass through it for a set distance according to e.g. the radius of their rotating movement, before being raised again. Device separates plastics effectively enough to enable their content to be sold, similarly paper, the system can use combinations of cutting tools, heated hooks and electrostatic effects, it can feed sepd. materials on to other conveyors and other types of separators (e.g. aerial screens).
