Universal contactor with exchangeable relay - has relay contacts coupled to terminals of switching contactor via releasable electric connectors

The contactor may be of thermal, electromagnetic, electronic etc. type and consists of a switching contactor and an exchangeable relay with at least one contact, changing its position on the relay tripping. The relay contact(s) (4, 5) has releasable electric connections (7, 7', 8, 8') to the terminals (10, 10', 11, 11') of the switching contactor. The releasable connections to the contactor terminals are of such construction, as to fit together automatically during mechanical securing of the relay on the contactor. These connections may be formed by a contact point and a contact spring, each provided at an appropriate contactor part.
