<p>Pile textile elements are disclosed in which heat fusible textile filamentary materials are assembled in a bundle wrapped in a plastic envelope. The filaments are held together at one end only of the bundle by fusing the ends of the filaments and the plastic envelope while they are in contact, under pressure, with a heated flat surface. The fused end of the bundle forms a base to facilitate handling of the pile textile element, and also facilitating securing the element to a suitable backing, such as a textile backing, furniture, bedding, etc., in a conventional manner.</p> |
