<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the inserting operation and also facilitate the removal of the liquid filling a tube by using as the filling liquid a voltative non-combustible halogenated hydrocarbon with a specific gravity greater than 1.0 or a mixture of such a hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:A cable is laid within a tube by filling te tube with a non-combustible halogenated hydrocarbon having a specific gravity greater than 0.1, for instance carbon tetrachloride, ethylene bromide and ethyl bromide, or a mixture of such substances, and thereafter the liquid is entirely removed by such a method as withdrawing it and then supplying drying air and heating air. In this way, the apparent weight of the cable can be reduced to facilitate the operation and also solve the environment polution problems.</p> |
