A duo-bus, i.e. a bus having two traction motors, is provided with a diesel engine (16) and an electric motor (10) as the traction motors. The diesel engine (16) can drive the input (4) of an automatic transmission unit (3) via a clutch (17) and the electric motor (10) can drive the same input (4) via a clutch (18) and a branch transmission (5), only one of the clutches being engaged at any given time.
