PURPOSE:To provide sufficient performance necessary for a wave filter, a piezoelectric resonator or the like by a method wherein one part of Sb in a ternary- system ferroelectric porcelain composition is substituted for Bi in order to obtain a high level of a mechanical quality factor, a relative permittivity, a frequency constant and the like. CONSTITUTION:This composition is composed of composite oxides of PbZrO3, PbTiO3 and Pb(Sn.Sb.Bi)O3; when it is expressed as Pb(ZrxTiy) (Sn1/2Sb(1-alpha)/2 Bialpha/2)zO3, its composition ranges are 0.436<=x<=0.450, 0.474<=y<=0.500, 0.050<=z<=0.090 and 0.064<=alpha<=0.336 (where x+y+z=1). That is to say, when one part of Sb is substituted for Bi, various performances necessary for a piezoelectric element such as a mechanical quality factor, a relative dielectric constant, a frequency constant and the like can maintain a high level when this composition is formed as a sintered substance; this composition is stable against a temperature change. |
