PURPOSE:To allow the time correction of the electronic timepiece which instantaneously corrects the time, does not require an intricate operating method and is easy to use by inputting the speech of speech information to the timepiece. CONSTITUTION:This timepiece consists of a speech input means into which the time information speed of the time of calendar, etc., is inputted, a coding means which codes the time information in accordance with the output signal from a speech input means, a means for setting the correction value of a display in accordance with the code obtd. by a coding means and a means of correcting the display in accordance with the set value. For example, the time service provided by NTT through telephone lines is used. The speech input means provided to the electronic timepiece is opposed to a telephone receiver and the time speech is taken into the means. The time speech is coded by the coding means and the correction value is computed and determined by the correction value setting means from the coded. A counter is then corrected. The need for the input means by an external operating member is, therefore, eliminated and further, the correction is possible any time. |
