<p>A vehicle monitoring system in disclosed in which a central control station is provided for the vehicles, for example buses, in the system. Each vehicle is provided with a transit universal microprocessor unit, including a modulatordemodulator, and one or morre peripheral devices and a radio communication link is provided between the vehicles and the central control station. Typical peripheral devices are odometers, passenger counters, drive switches and display devices, loudspeakers, etc.</p> |
