<p>Method and apparatus for measuring mass flow rate of a fluid substance flowing in a conduit by reciprocating at least one section of conduit at an end thereof with the other end thereof pivotally mounted, and measuring the torque generated by the Coriolis force, and preferably reciprocating in mirror image fashion two similar sections of conduit, both being pivotally secured at inlet and outlet ends, respectively, to substantially balance inertial forces, and, in either embodiment preferably measuring only the torque at peak angular velocity of the conduit section.</p> |
