<p>PURPOSE:To increase desulfurization ratio, by washing exhaust combustion gas with absorbing soln. which is made by addn. of HCHO to an aq. suspension of Ca cpd., e.g., CaO, Ca(OH)2, or CaCO3 so as to increase the reactivity of the absorbing soln. with SOx. CONSTITUTION:SOx contained in exhaust combustion gas is absorbed and removed with absorbing soln. which is made by addn. of a small quantity, e.g., several milli mol HCHO/l., to an aq. suspension of inexpensive Ca cpd., e.g., CaO, Ca(OH)2, or CaCO3. Presence of HCHO increases reactivity of Ca cpd. with SOx, thus improving desulfurization ratio. Consequently the absorption tower is made small-sized compared with that using conventional absorbing soln. contg. Ca cpd. only.</p> |
