The cutting tool for stone sawing consists of cutting inserts on reciprocating or rotating saw blade. These inserts have carbide or diamond cutting tips. The cutting inserts are held reliably and are readily replaced. The cutting inserts(22) are held on a tool carrier (10) by adhesive bonding, rivetting or spot welding for easy replacement. The cutting inserts can be fastened by fasteners(34) in a seat for the cutting insert. Dovetail seats can be used for keying.
