The wave-shed weaving machine has a pair of delivery rollers (20, 21) for the weft thread to be fed into the weft carriers. The delivery rollers (20, 21) of this pair of delivery rollers are connected to one another by means of a positive gear (70). Furthermore, arranged in front of the pair of delivery rollers is a controllable thread clamp which clamps the thread whenever the pair of delivery rollers does not clamp the thread, and vice versa. This design increases the accuracy of measurement of the weft-thread length to be fed into the weft carriers. <IMAGE>
