PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner wherein an air purifier and a humidifier are unitarily provided, and generated steam is discharged into a chamber by purified air, thereby to prevent the lowering of the temperature within the chamber and to sufficiently disperse steam so as to effectively carry out air conditioning. CONSTITUTION:Purified air is passed through a blast chamber B and a heating cylinder 19, and discharged into the chamber B . When a current is caused to flow to a heat generating member 20, the heating cylinder 19 is heated, as a result of which water within a steam tank 14 is boiled to generate steam. The steam is sucked up by purified air passing through the heating cylinder 19 to humidify the interior of the chamber. Upon this occasion, since the purified air is heated by the influence of the heat generator 20, the lowering of the temperature of steam is suppressed, and the lowering of room temperature in the chamber at the time of heating is prevented to lighten the steam, thus the steam being sufficiently dispersed in the full part of the chamber. The full part of the air conditioner becomes compact by this mechanism and is provided at cheap cost. |
