<p>PURPOSE:To automate an attachment of a wheel to a hub by detecting the position of an axle in X-axis and Z-axis directions by a hub bolt position detector for detecting the central position of the axle and in Y-axis direction by disabled wheel attachment detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A hub bolt position detector 10 determines the phase of hub bolts 5a to 5d around an axis 4 at predetermined angle and also detects two-dimensionally the central position of an axle 4 in X-axis and Z-axis directions. Wheel gripping menas 7 operates to match the center of a wheel 1 with an axle 4a upon reception of a signal from the position detector 10. When hub bolts 5a to 5d pass through the bolt holes 1a to 1d, respectively of a wheel 1 next in case of inserting the bolts into the wheel, they make at the ends thereof contact with nuts 29 in nut runners 15a to 15d, respectively to thereby operate a switch 37. A Y-axis cylinder 13 stops forwarding upon reception of a signal from the switch 37 to allow a socket 28 to rotate so as to thereby tighten the nuts 29. When the bolts 5a to 5d make at the ends thereof contact with a disk in case of disabled insertion, they operate a switch 27 to thereby operate a wheel positioning mechanism 9.</p> |
