The microwave ring hybrid circuit in strip-line or microstrip design technique has four line-sections electrically connected together ring-wise and a connecting line at each of their connection points. So as to save circuit space compared with previous ring hybrid layouts of the low-pass filter type, the connection points between the four line sections are designed in the form of enlarged areas. Some of the sections of line are specif. folded into themselves, and the connection point "lands" or surfaces are more specif. square shaped, or rectangular shaped.
