The quick clamping device for the lathe rotary chucks incorporates a base plate (4) with a pivot lever (5) the plate being fitted on the lathe spindle box (1). At the free end of the lever is a holding arrangement (6) in which a motor (8) is adjustably fitted. The motor shaft (13) for displacement of the clamping jaws of the chuck (2) has a coupling piece (14) for accommodation of a key (15) for operation of the chuck pinion or the adjustment spindles. The motor itself is held in a pot-type insert (7) connected to the holding device (6) by one or more springs (11).
