Articles of linen hanging on the washing line are prevented from being blown over and entangled by the wind by means of a weighting or anchoring arrangement. The inconvenience of having to rearrange the items continuously, and the longer drying time necessary in consequence are avoided. Clamps may be used which have ribbed surfaces so that the space between jaws is also dried, and they may also be covered with plastic to prevent soiling of the articles of washing. Wts. of various kinds from lead discs to bars may be incorporated in the clamps and eyelets of fabric may be attached to the linen for accommodating hooks.
|
