A container (1) which can be closed by means of a screw-on cap (2) has an anti-opening lock (3) which is manufactured as a separate part, encloses the screw thread of the container in an annular fashion and, when the cap is screwed onto the container, establishes a lock which acts in a circumferential direction between the said parts. A toothed section is moulded onto the opening end of the screw-on cap, into which section locking elements present on the anti-opening lock resiliently engage when the screw-on cap is screwed on. A weakened region which is moulded onto the circumference of the annular anti-opening lock is provided with a connecting tab (7) which can be torn open using two fingers, so that the anti-opening lock can be removed without damaging parts of the container or the cap. <IMAGE>
