The bellow sleeve (7) forms a coaxial pipe connector (1) with which axial variations between the pipes (3, 4) can be compensated. Each pipe end is provided with a connector flange (8, 9) which has parallel internal and external tapers. A matching taper ring (5, 6) is attached to each end on the bellow sleeve. When the compensator coupling is placed between the two tube ends, two clamp rings with VEE-profile (13) are attached to the connection. They produce the axial clamping force required for the secure installation of the compensator coupling.
