The laser endoscope has an observation ray passage containing a lens system with an eyepiece at the observation end, and a laser beam passage partly coinciding with the observation passage and coupled into it by a reflecting optical component. The latter component (22) is mounted before the observation end of the eyepiece (14), and can be accommodated in an insert fitted to the eyepiece end, being in the form of a mirror selectively reflecting the laser beams.
