<p>PURPOSE:To prevent power loss as well as to reduce power needed for switching, by using transistors in place of diodes in a matrix driving device selectively energizing a plurality of heating elements arranged in a line. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of each of many heating elements H11-H33 arranged in a line is connected to an emitter of each transistor Q11-H33 and a collector of each transistor is connected in common. Transistors Q11-Q33 are divided into groups of plural number, and the other terminal, not connected to the transistor, of each heating element H11-H13, H21-H23, H31-H33 of each group is connected to common switching elements S'1-S'3. Each base on a similar relative position of transistors Q11-Q13; Q21-Q23, Q31-Q33 of the groups is connected to common drive current paths B1-B3. Heating elements desired are selectively driven by selectively combining closing of switching elements S'1-S'3 and voltage application of drive current paths.</p> |
