For an inductive paging system used within a building, the induction loops are formed by making concomitant use of risers, such as water pipes (2), central heating (6, 7) and protective conductors of the electrical system which are present anyway in the building. These lines which are part of the infrastructure of the building are connected in a suitable fashion and fed at suitable points. <IMAGE>
