PURPOSE:Parisons of thermoplastic polyester resin containing a ultraviolt sensitizer is subjected to blow molding and crosslinking under specific conditions to produce bottles of high heat stability. CONSTITUTION:Parison P consisting of a thermoplastic polyester resin containing 0.1-10wt % of one or more ultraviolet sensitizers selected from benzophenone, naphthoquinone, anthraquinone and phenanthraquinone derivatives is set into dividable mold 1 and drawing rod 4 that is equipped through the inlet 3 of blowing nozzle 2 on the opening of parison P is projected in the direction of the arrow to stretch the parison in the longitudinal direction. Then the parison is blow molded by jetting compressed fluid into the parison and bottle B is taken out of the mold by opening the mold. Bottle B is set into mold 13 having the cavity corresponding in the inner shape with the outer form of the bottle and heated in a temperature range from the glass transition point to the melting point and irradiated with ultraviolet rays of 2000-4000Angstrom in wave length using lamp 5 for several ten sec to several min. |
