<p>The lead seal is to allow a connection between two parts by means of an insert part, in which there is no need to use a special tool for lead-sealing. It is to be possible to open the lead seal by hand, only the insert part being broken. The lead seal (1) has an elastically deformable insert part (2) connected by means of a weakened region (11) to a second part (3) which can be removed after the weakened region (11) has been broken. In one version, the insert part (2) has a rectangular foot part (4), a central part (5) projecting perpendicularly from the middle of the foot part, and, on the two mutually opposite sides of the free end of the central part (1), two elastically deformable arms (6, 7) which extend outwards and back towards the foot part.
