O-alkyl-O-1-phenyl-5-cyanoalkylmercapto-1,2,4-triazol(3)yl!-thionophos phoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula (I), in which R is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R' is alkyl or alkoxy with in either case 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R" is cyanoalkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, which possess insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal properties.
