PURPOSE:To permit a beautiful cut face of good precision to be formed and a longer life to be stabilized by decreasing chipped scrap in width to the extent of passing through the first rake face so as to discharge the same which is curled after decreased greatly in width during outflow over the second rake face and a stage. CONSTITUTION:When a metal is cut by a round saw which has a chip 13 brazed in each cutting edge house 15 of a base metal 11, chipped scrap cut by the first rake face comes to be thin scrap in a center portion 13f and thick scrap created on both sides thereof. Then, 13f has low frictional force so that the scrap is less deformed and kept thin, and grater frictional force with approximating both sides so that the scrap is compressed and increased in thickness. Also, the scrap on both side portions is promoted to flow into the center portion, therefore right-and-left scrap content is decreased moderately. Additionally, the scrap, in the process of flowing over a recessed portion 13h and the second rake face 13b, has both wings lifted up by a high 13b on both sides, put on a stage 13g in the state of floating over 13h, and bent largely by a stage with rising circular arc in a cross direction to be curled. At this time, the scrap content is greatly decreased to facilitate bending and deformation for allowing deformation in crosswise uniformity. |
