<p>PURPOSE:To simply remove slightly water sol. org. cpds. in condensation separated water formed in adsorption and desorption of a gas contg. the cpds., by introducing the water into a condensation separated water adsorption tower packed with activated carbon for vapor phase. CONSTITUTION:A gas contg. slightly water sol. org. cpds. such as benzene and gasoline is subjected to adsorption and desorption in an adsorption tower packed with granular or spherical activated carbon for vapor phase. Condensation separated water formed by the treatment is treated with activated carbon for vapor phase to allow the cpds. to be adsorbed. When the activated carbon reaches the break- through point, it is regenerated with steam and recycled. This regeneration can be carried out in a steam regeneration line previously provided to the gas adsorption and desorption system, and the amt. of activated carbon used can be reduced. Thus, this method has operational and economical advantages.</p> |
