PURPOSE:To lessen the peak of the power consumption and also to reduce occurrence of the noise in order to obtain a low-cost constitution of the refresh system, by dividing the volatile semiconductor memory element into more than one unit of minor groups and shifting the refresh time with every minor group of the element. CONSTITUTION:Delay circuit 5 and 5' are added newly. The groups of dynamic RAM4 belonging to driving circuit 3 start the refresh action, and then the groups of dynamic RAM4' belonging to driving circuit 3' have the refresh action after time delay 5 of td1. After delay 5' of td2, the groups of dynamic RAM4'' belonging to driving circuit 3'' start the refresh action. Accordingly, the refresh actions end with a shift with every group, and thus the piling of the impulse power consumption can be avoided for every group. Thus, the current value is obtained for waveform (7) which is gentle as a whole. |
