Glass lampshade for electric ceiling light - is retained by wedging effect of rubber hook against rim of ceiling fitting

The glass lampshade (V) for an electric ceiling light is attached to the ceiling fitting (P). This ceiling fitting is circular with a turned-down rim (Pr) and a number of inward sloping arms (C). A rubber hook (E) has one end pivoted to the end of the arm whilst the other end is curved to fit over the rounded edge of the central hole of the lampshade. When the lampshade (V) is pressed into the ceiling fitting (P), it is retained by the wedging effect of the deformation of the end of the hook (E) in the space between the fitting rim (Pr) and the arm (C).
