The control arrangement is for altering the position of an external rear view mirror in two planes. This is effected by two parallel or coaxial shafts extending through the window or side panel of the vehicle. The arms swivel inside the mirror housing. The drive is an electric motor and epicyclic reduction gear. The satellite carriers are fixed to the control shafts which can move in the carriers. Satellite movement is controlled by a crown wheel engaging in a circular grooves in each satellite, fixed to the end of rods, the other end of which have a push button.
