<p>Cable of an off-shore platform anchored by cables under tension, which are first brought through the platform structure from above downwards in individual shafts and which then descend to the sea-bed and are fixed to an anchorage base, is changed using a special guide for each cable. The guide, consisting of a central ring with lateral eyelets, is engaged removably on the cabel to be changed, and is maintained by guide-wires interposed between the structure and the anchorage base. The raising is carried out with the lower end-piece of the cable guided along the guide-wires, by means of the guide. During the reverse operation of lowering the new cable, the same guidage is operated up to the fixing of the cable on its base. Method makes it possible to operate more rapidly, without it being necessary to effect manipulations on the sea-bed.</p> |
