<p>Edges of porcelain, ceramic or enamelled-steel wash basins or sinks are protected by a plastics foam, esp. microporous polystyrene, edging whose cross-sectional height is smaller than the depth of the basin and which has a cross-sectional step that fits the contour of the edge of the basin, with an area bearing on the edge of the basin. The edging also has protrusions and depressions outside the step region, adapted to easy and secure stacking before being fitted. Used for protecting basins etc. against damage during storage, shipping and use. Method is economical with storage space when being stacked before fitting, and also enables basins, etc. to be stored in min. space, when fitted.</p> |
